  DAATI SUMANGALA YOJANA

  (“Beti Bachao Abhiyan”)

  On Nov. 10^th 2010.

  Very often we come across in our state Rajasthan that most of the young girls get married before the legitimate age. At a very young age they conceive and undergo motherhood resulting in their poor physical health. In order to resolve this problem and helping the strata living below poverty linePrerna Yojana in collaboration with Government recognized organization Jansanskhaya Sthirta Kosh had been launched.

  Inspired by the above Yojana and under same guidelines a unique Yojana by the name of Daati SUMANGALAhas been launched in District Pali, Rajasthan on 10^th Nov 2010. Under this Yojana in integrate proximity of Health and Family Planning Department,Govrnment of Rajasthan and by monetary support from Shree Ashwasan Baal Gram Organization (Alawas, Sojat, Distt. Pali sponsored by Shree Shani Dham Trust) ‘Save Daughter’ campaign is launched not only for BPL families in Pali Distt but also for APL families.

  AIMS OF DAATI SUMANGALA YOJANA:

  1. To create awareness about marriage among the girls of age 18 years or above.

  2. To encourage birth of child after two years of marriage.

  3. To discourage female foeticide and encouraging birth of female child.

  4. To maintain optimum sex ratio.

  5. To encourage the difference of 3 yrs. between two children

  6. To implement Family Welfare Programme and improve its quality.

  7. Setting copartnership among already established Trusts and social welfare organizations in District.

  8. To encourage registered marriages.

  9. To encourage the registration of child birth.

  10. To reduce the gap between BPL AND APL.

  Eligibility criteria:

  · Girls married at age of 18 yrs. or above will be entitled for this scheme.

  · Couples who have their first female child after two yrs. of marriage will be entitled for this scheme.

  · If the same couple ,after a gap of three years again have female child then second child will be entitled for this scheme.

  · If a couple gets two daughters successively after a gap of three years then second daughter will be entitled for economic support through this scheme.

  · Couple undergone Family Planning (Nasbandi) immediately after the birth of first female child or second female child is entitled for this scheme.

  · Couple who have a Son will not be entitled for this scheme.

  · Couples who have taken the benefit of prerna yojana are not entitled for Daati Sumangala Yojana.

  Scheme Implementation Norms

  Under this scheme couples will be given financial help by Shree Aashwasan Baal Gram Organizaiton, Alawas, Sojat, Distt. Pali, sponsored by Shree Shani Dham Trust.

  · Householders with wife married at age of 18yrs. or above and

  · Couples who have begotten first female child after two yrs. of marriage will be entitled for this scheme. They will be provided Kissan Vikas Patra or fixed deposit of `2100/- (two thousand one hundred only). Female who have recently delivered the baby will be given help of `1000/- (one thousand only).

  · If after a gap of three yrs. second time also a couple gets a female child then the second child will be entitled for this scheme. Second daughter will be given help of `5100/- (five thousand one hundred only) Female who has just delivered baby will be given help of `1000/-(one thousand only)Householders with more than two children are not eligible for above scheme.

  · If a couple gets two daughters successively after a gap of three years then second daughter will be entitled for economic support of 5100/-through this scheme.

  · Couple undergone Family Planning immediately after the birth of first female child or second female child is entitled for this scheme. They will be given help of `5100/- (five thousand one hundred only)and female undergone Family Planning (nasbandi) will be entitled for `3100/- (three thousand one hundred).

  · Such families will be presented as role models so that they can inspire other families too. Also Save girl campaign and family planning programme can give active contribution.

  
  

  The process of submitting application for economic help under Sumangala Yojana.

  · In order to avail monetary gains it is compulsory to submit the prescribed application form. Along with application form submit the asked copies of documents. After filling form husband and wife have to sign application form duly attested by a Gazetted officer/ Sarpanch/ Principal/Distt. Head/ MLA/ MP/ Local body chief before submitting to the Chief Medical Officer concerned block. After verification by Local body chief this form will be presented to Chief Medical Officer of district. After his signature the requested amount will be approved by under signed authorities. After undergoing this process only the cheque or Kissan Vikas Patra will be issued. A copy of the application form is enclosed.

  · For effective Implementation, Monitoring and Supervision of Daati Sumangala Yojana State Level meetings will be organized. This meeting will be organized once in three months. Amendments will take place as per directions of the Advisory committee.

  · Under Sumangala Yojana: for effective promotion, monitoring and to keep proper coordination between all heads like Distt. Management, Health and Family Planning Department (Pali),Aashwasan Baal Gram Organization, Alawas (sponsored by Shree Shani Dham Trust)and state level advisory committee (Pali), A STATE LEVEL COORDINATION SUMANGALA YOJANA has been nominated.

  · For promoting Daati Sumangala Yojana, Sumangala Yojana Prakoshtha has been formed by Distt. Collector (Pali).
